Copy for ads appearing in the Scribe must be received in 'CAMERA READY' condition, or the Image Of The Scribe Newsletter

advertiser will be billed an additional charge for any time spent preparing the ad for print. Camera-ready is defined as:

Hard Copy - Pre-printed materials are generally not considered camera-ready. Copy should be CLEAN, black & white (not color), high-resolution (600dpi for line art and 300dpi for grayscale) output, sized to fit the specified ad space. Please note that faxes do not make suitable camera-ready art. Sizes for ads are as follows:

Business Card..........2" high x 3.5' wide
1/4 Page......................5 1/8" high x 3 3/4" wide
1/3 Page......................3 3/8" high x 7 3/4" wide
1/2 Page......................4 3/4" high x 7 3/4" wide
1/2 Page Vertical........9 1/2" high x 3 3/4" wide
Full Page......................10 1/2" high x 7 3/4" wide

Electronic Media - The following electronic files are acceptable:
1. PDF. These ads are not editable. They must be distilled to PRESS resolution (NOT screen), and all fonts and graphics must be embedded.

2. TIF, EPS or JPEG - These formats must be a least 300dpi for grayscale and 600dpi for line art at 100% size. All fonts must be converted to curves.

3. Word - These files must include all fonts and embedded graphics. You must include a hard copy (via fax or mail), as we cannot be responsible for errors in the print conversion process.

4. Microsoft Publisher - We STRONGLY discourage the use of Microsoft Publisher for using camera-ready art. If you must submit a Publisher file, please be sure to include hard copy, and all fonts and graphics. We cannot be responsible for errors during the file conversion process.
