We are looking for Dressage and Eventing Committee Members

We are looking for riders, trainers and interested parties to join  one of our standing committees, the Dressage Committee or the Eventing Committee. Commitments to the betterment of the riding in general, and to Dressage and Eventing Disciplines in particular are prerequisite focuses of a candidate for the any of these positions.

The time commitment required includes time each month for participation in committee work (time requirements varies based on the specific committee work chosen) and time to discuss and develop new activities for the club.

The major committees in IDCTA are the Dressage Committee and the Eventing Committee. To be a member of either committee, a candidate must be a member in good standing. There are no term commitments for either committee. The committees meet periodically to plan the programs for the discipline and to organize, and staff the programs in order to insure a smooth execution.

The Dressage Committee has the role of overseeing and executing the activities of the club as they relate to Dressage. Activities related to the yearly dressage show, dressage clinics and educational forums fall under the leadership of the Dressage Committee. The committee meets once a month. The Eventing Committee has the role of overseeing and executing the activities of the club as they relate to eventing. Alison Volpenesta, chair of the Eventing Committee and is the person to speak to if you are interested in participating on the Eventing Committee.  Alison’s number is 847-254-0860 and her email is barlink6@gmail.com.
