Dear Fellow Equestrians,
I am pleased to announce that Bettina Drummond will be returning to Indiana again this year! Half-Halt Farm in Bloomington, Indiana is hosting a dressage clinic with Ms. Drummond on November 1-3, 2010. This is Monday through Wednesday. Auditors will be welcome on Tuesday, November 2. The clinic flyer, a rider application, an auditor application, and lodging information are attached. The application deadline is October 15.
I expect this clinic to fill quickly. We are very fortunate to be able to host Ms. Drummond again this year, as she really did not have room in her schedule. But when she was here in July, she was so pleased with the progress everyone had made since her clinic here in May that she agreed to squeeze us in. However, the number of lessons available will be somewhat limited, as both Monday and Wednesday will be half days.
Bettina Drummond is highly regarded in both the United States and Europe as a trainer and teacher of the French method of classical dressage. She spent 17 years in training with Nuno Oliveira. She was both influenced and coached by some of Europe's finest trainers, including General Durand, Ecuyer en Chef and Commandant of the French National Equestrian School in Samur, and Lieutenant Colonel Paolo Angioni of the Italian Cavalry. Lesson Fees:
Private lessons are $165 each; however, for those requesting at least 3 lesssons, the fee will be discounted to $155 per lesson. Semi-private lessons are $125 per rider. One hour will be allocated for each lesson, but lesson time will fluctuate to suit the level of fitness of the horse.
Deposits:
If you would like to ride in this clinic, a $100 nonrefundable deposit payable to Half-Halt Farm is required to hold your space in the clinic, or if the clinic is full, on the waiting list. The application deadline is October 15. I will need payment of the balance of your lesson and stabling fees by October 22.
Please send your deposit, application, and a copy of your horse's negative Coggins to:

If you need to cancel after October 22, your lesson fees will be nonrefundable unless I can fill your space from the waiting list. Stabling fees would be refunded. If you are on the waiting list, and I do not get you into the clinic, you will receive a full refund.
Stabling:
Limited stabling is available. Overnight stabling is $30 per night, which includes one bag of shavings per night. Day stalls are $20 per day, again with one bag of shavings included. Additional shavings will be available at $7/bag. Box stalls, 12x15 or 12x10, with rubber mats; wash rack with hot and cold water. Tack room/kitchenette with heat, a/c, and rest room.
Health Papers:
A negative Coggins within one year of the clinic date is required for all horses. A health paper within one month of the clinic date is required for out-of-state horses.
Auditing:
Auditors are welcome on Tuesday, November 2 at $25 for the day. Pre-registration is required, as I will need to limit the number of auditors due to space considerations. The application deadline for auditing is October 15. Clinic riders may audit the rest of the day on which they ride at no additional fee.
